Say Hello!!

Ok…so we woke up pretty late actually…around 10 I think. In my book that’s kind of late if you want to hit the beach :) We packed our bags (no camera though, so my boyfriends’ iPhone had to do for pictures.

Since the island is an unknown area for both of us we kind of had to feel our way to the beach, where to go, what to do. Of course my boyfriend called his uncle, but he’s not much of a beach person. Anyhow we went to the closest beach, it’s like 5 minutes (with bike) from the house.

Oh such a magnificent view…. the clear and beautiful sea…. I couldn’t wait to jump into the water… But I have my small traditions… order a coffee…relax for a while..enjoy the coffee and THEN get into the water….

I sent my boyfriend in first to check out how deep it is and to check the temperature as well :) poor guy…

This beach is called the Panteli Beach Nearby is a hotel with a restaurant, called Castelo A very lovely place with a great view in the evening. But more about that in another post.

There are a lot of other restaurants and cafes surrounding the area. Small shops, a lot of boats… Very cozy…

After letting our bodies enjoy the lovely salty water we got hungry… Well, maybe me more than my boyfriend ‘cause the air makes me hungry as a horse..

We started off with a lovely and cold bottle of Mythos (I’ve already introduced to guys to this lovely greek beer).

We went to a cute little restaurant 10 steps from the sea, a lot of details at the restaurant…small things that make you enjoy the food even more.

AND on the menu they had a ROCKET SALLAD…A ROCKET!!! Weeee….

A little four legged friend who thought: “well, if the humans can do it, so can I”.

A lovely menu…

And now to the my favorite part of the day; dinner!!

I can’t remember all the things I ate but I’ll do my best.

This is a type of very salty fish you usually eat as an appetizer with Greek  alcoholic beverage called tsipouro. Very strong, but it kind of kills the salt in the fish.

Of course nothing without a sallad… yes…onions… I tell my boyfriend that I am going to eat onions and he can forget about kisses :) And the feta cheese….

Mushrooms… excellent..

These were actually my favourite….they look like meatballs BUT no meat! Only vegetables and I could honestly kill for one of those…

And then the main course…. Scary fish with teeth… Immediately it reminded me of the movie Piranha…yish! But it was veeeeery tasty…

I have a little problem with the food in Greece… and that is the appetizers and the sallads that come before the main course, it is all so tasty that instead of taking small pieces of everything I eat like a maniac…And when the main course comes I am too full….I can hardly walk… But who cares…. :) It’s good!

And of course I can’t, I simply can’t go by that lovely and clear water and not step into it once more before we go home.. :)
